P2: Reflective Essay
This project help see research as a powerful tool that can be used in many school and life situations. Throughout my research phase I learned many things that helped me achieve my goal, which was to have sufficient arguments to prove my theory. Obviously at first it was not easy, even had no idea how to start researching but to go as I found to be putting things in place. The first step was to decide what I wanted to prove my theory, the why and how. After searching three sources of information that were specifically associated with my theory and after reading several articles, chose three that really helped me connect all the ideas. Many times you find the articles quickly but the problem always is to find the proper relationship between them. The whys and hows will always come but the important thing for an investigation is going to solve all this details so that your theory is not complicated and does not cover many topics. Something very interesting during my research was to create the questions used to do surveys and I decided to make choice questions for the final numbers. Obviously I also added a why question to the survey in order to reach to the most sincere point view of students. When you do surveys and ask students their opinion I got the idea to focus my theory on teachers because the result was very impressive. So this also taught me that sometimes is in the process of research when you can make changes and this gives you the opportunity to do a better job. I think the hardest part for me was to come to a conclusion that would satisfy me because when you have the results of the surveys is the next step is to fit everything to the satisfaction of your theory. To me this research a lot of learning left me because I believe faithfully that this is the best way to test your ideas and finish with excellent conclusions. I can also add that things change a lot between the first ideas that came through my mind in the meeting with Bonnie and my conclusion.
