Why was it so much easier for me to read school related material when I was a kid?
I think it was easier because I was always encouraged to do so, and everyone was always proud of me because I was "smart" and I could read and write better than other kids.
I really like yyour question and your answer to it just blew me away! So what's yoru theory then? Is that good reading needs to be encoruaged? What does that mean? Is this about reading or learning? Incredibly thought provoking stuff! :D Very Cool! Perhaps your answers to these questions can be teased out with a little more explanation of your expeirence(s)? Talkt o me abotu those specific moments in which someone encouraged you in your learning and how and why it helped. :D
ReplyDeleteAlso, I don't see any explanation of what your Prject, your Thing. What is it? You've got a great start on your theory but how willyou show this to us?
Also ...I forgot to ask: What do you mean by "smart"? There are so many connotations to this but I don't want to jump to assumptions abotu what you mean. Can you explain what it means to be this "smart"?
ReplyDeleteYes, I think reading needs to be encouraged, just like college. Some of us are here to make our parents/loved ones proud. This is about learning, because reading and learning come together. When you read, you learn.
ReplyDeleteI think that by "smart" they meant that I knew way more stuff than others, I had a bigger vocabulary. They always said I was more mature than others, and I think I was. I would listen to grown up conversations and I understood other peoples problems and tried to relate to them. Give them advice and my point of view.
Even now, there are some things that I find very logical and easy to understand which to others seem so difficult and I get really frustrated thinking "how can they not get it, it's so simple". Stuff like math, or simply words and thoughts.
You didn't see a project or thing because I'm not sure what to do with this.
